Terms of Service
These terms are the rules for using Mun: the website (munkorea.com), the web app (munkorea.com/app) and the Mun phone apps. By using Mun you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Mun. They are written in plain language on purpose.
What Mun is
Mun is a free trip planner for visitors to Korea. You give it a city, dates and preferences; an AI model (Claude, made by Anthropic) drafts a day-by-day plan, and Mun looks each place up in public Korean records and checks its opening hours and closing days where they are on file (how the checks work).
A plan is a draft, not a promise. The AI can be wrong, and the records can be late or incomplete. Places close, move, change their hours or fill up. Before you go, confirm opening hours, closing days, prices, bookings, transport and the weather with the place or its official channel. For anything that touches your health or safety (allergies, diets such as halal or vegetarian, wheelchair or other mobility needs), ask the place directly. Mun's labels about food and accessibility are best-effort hints, not medical or safety advice. Mun is not a travel agency: it doesn't sell tickets, tours or stays, and it is not a party to anything you book.
Who runs it
Mun is run by Jihun Kim (김지훈), an independent developer in Korea. It is run by an individual, not a company; if that changes, this page will say so. Contact: hello@munkorea.com
Using Mun
- Follow the law, and don't use Mun to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
- Don't try to get into other people's accounts, trips or shared links, and don't break, probe or overload Mun or get around its limits (for example by sending requests faster than a person could).
- Don't put unlawful content, or other people's private information, in trip names or notes.
- Mun may refuse, limit or end access to anyone who breaks these rules or puts the service or other people at risk.
Your account and trips
You can use Mun as a guest or sign in with Kakao, Google or a link sent to your email. A guest account belongs to the browser or phone that created it; if you clear that browser's data or switch devices, you may not be able to reach it again. A guest account nobody has used for 6 months is deleted automatically, with its trips. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete account), which removes your trips and the other information listed in the privacy notice.
Your content
The trip details and notes you enter stay yours. You give Mun a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process and show them only as needed to run the service: to you, to people you share a trip with, and to the services that help make and check your plan, as the privacy notice describes. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account. Anyone who has a share or invite link can open that trip, so share links with care. You may use the plans Mun drafts for you freely for your own trips.
Links and ads
Some links (hotels, tours, SIM cards, flights) are affiliate links: if you book through one, Mun earns a commission and the price you pay is the same. Mun's suggestions don't depend on commissions. Details: affiliate links and ads. Other sites and booking partners have their own terms, and Mun is not responsible for them.
No warranty, limited liability
- Mun is free and is provided "as is" and "as available". It does not promise that plans, places, hours, prices, forecasts or translations are accurate, complete or up to date, or that the service will always be running.
- To the extent Korean law allows, Mun's operator is not liable for losses that come from relying on a plan or other information from Mun, such as a wasted trip, a closed or unsuitable place, a missed booking or extra costs, unless the loss was caused by the operator's intent or gross negligence.
- Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under mandatory law, including Korean consumer-protection law, or limits a liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
Mun is still being built: features may change, pause or end. These terms may also change; the effective date above says which version applies, and if a change matters to you, Mun will say so on this page and in the app. If you keep using Mun after the effective date, you accept the new version. If you don't agree, stop using Mun and delete your account.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the courts of Korea that have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Please write to the contact address first: most problems are solved with a message.
