Mun is a trip planner for Korea, run by an independent developer in Korea. This page says what Mun keeps about you, why, who else handles it, and how to remove it. Mun does not sell data, show ads, or use tracking or advertising cookies.

Phone-app waitlist

• What: your email address, your browser's language, which form you used, whether you ticked "updates before launch", and when you signed up.
• Why: to send one email when the Android and iPhone apps launch; to send occasional updates only if you ticked that box and then confirmed it from the email we send (so nobody else can sign you up for them); and to give an account created with the same email its waitlist perk.
• How long: until you remove it, and at the latest one year after the apps launch.

Using the planner

• Your account: without signing in you get a guest account, which is a random ID with nothing about you in it. If you sign in with Kakao, Google or Apple, Mun keeps the email, name and profile picture they share.
• Your trips: the cities, dates, preferences, notes and places you put in a trip, and who you shared it with.
• Android app only: a notification token if you allow weather alerts.
• How long: until you delete your account (in the app: Settings → Delete account). That removes your trips and everything above.

The "try a day" box on the home page doesn't create an account; the city, date and interests you pick aren't linked to you. Your IP address is used, in memory only, to count daily limits and is not written to Mun's database. Mun does not collect your device location. When you tap Directions, Mun opens the map you pick (Naver Map, KakaoMap or Google Maps) with the stop's name and location; that map finds where you are by itself, under its own privacy policy. The web app keeps your sign-in in your browser's local storage.

Visit counts

Mun counts visits with its own counter on Mun's server, without cookies and without any third-party tool. For each page view it stores the page, the campaign tag in the link (like ?ref=pin), the site that linked here, your country (from Cloudflare) and whether you're on a phone or computer. To count each visitor once a day it also stores a short code made from your IP address and browser with a key that is thrown away every day, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next or back to you. Your IP address itself is not stored. Nothing is saved in your browser. Counts are kept for 13 months. For accounts, Mun also counts on how many different days the account was used.

Who else handles it

• Anthropic (USA): writes the plans. It receives the trip request (city, dates, group size, preferences and any notes you type), not your email or account.
• Cloudflare (USA and worldwide): carries traffic between you and Mun's server.
• Google Firebase (USA): delivers Android notifications using the notification token.
• Google Gmail (USA): sends Mun's emails, so it handles your address when Mun writes to you.
• Naver, Kakao, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Meteorological Administration, AirKorea: receive the names and locations of the places in a plan so Mun can check them, never anything about you.

Remove your email from the waitlist

We email that address a link to confirm, so nobody else can remove you. Removing it also stops updates. You can sign up again any time, or write to hello@munkorea.com.

앱 출시 알림 신청

• 항목: 이메일 주소, 브라우저 언어, 신청한 위치, "출시 전 소식 받기" 선택 여부, 신청 시각
• 목적: 안드로이드·아이폰 앱 출시 안내 메일 1회 발송, 선택하고 보내드린 확인 메일에서 다시 동의하신 경우에만 출시 전 소식 발송(다른 사람이 대신 신청할 수 없도록), 같은 이메일로 만든 계정에 신청 혜택 적용
• 보관 기간: 삭제를 요청할 때까지, 늦어도 앱 출시 후 1년

서비스 이용

• 계정: 로그인하지 않으면 개인 정보가 없는 무작위 ID의 게스트 계정을 씁니다. 카카오·구글·애플로 로그인하면 해당 서비스가 제공하는 이메일, 이름, 프로필 사진을 보관합니다.
• 여행 일정: 일정에 입력한 도시, 날짜, 선호, 메모, 장소와 공유 대상
• 안드로이드 앱: 날씨 알림을 허용한 경우 알림 토큰
• 보관 기간: 계정을 삭제할 때까지 (앱의 설정 → 계정 삭제). 삭제하면 일정을 포함한 위 정보가 모두 지워집니다.

홈페이지의 하루 체험은 계정을 만들지 않으며, 고른 도시·날짜·관심사는 이용자와 연결되지 않습니다. IP 주소는 하루 이용 횟수를 세는 데에만 메모리에서 쓰고 데이터베이스에 저장하지 않습니다. 기기 위치 정보는 수집하지 않습니다. 길찾기를 누르면 고른 지도(네이버 지도, 카카오맵, 구글 지도)를 장소 이름과 위치로 열며, 현재 위치는 그 지도가 직접 확인하고 해당 서비스의 개인정보 처리방침을 따릅니다. 웹 버전은 로그인 상태를 브라우저 저장소에 보관합니다.

방문 통계

방문 수는 쿠키나 외부 도구 없이 Mun 서버의 자체 집계로 셉니다. 페이지를 볼 때마다 페이지 주소, 링크에 붙은 유입 표시(?ref=pin 등), 이 사이트로 연결한 사이트, 국가(Cloudflare 제공), 휴대폰·컴퓨터 구분을 저장합니다. 방문자를 하루에 한 번만 세기 위해 IP 주소와 브라우저 정보로 만든 짧은 코드도 저장하는데, 이 코드를 만드는 열쇠는 매일 폐기되므로 날짜를 넘겨 방문을 잇거나 개인을 알아낼 수 없습니다. IP 주소 자체는 저장하지 않으며 브라우저에도 아무것도 저장하지 않습니다. 보관 기간은 13개월입니다. 계정은 이용한 날짜 수만 따로 셉니다.

처리 위탁 및 국외 이전

• Anthropic (미국): 일정 작성. 도시, 날짜, 인원, 선호, 입력한 메모만 전달되며 이메일이나 계정 정보는 전달되지 않습니다.
• Cloudflare (미국 등): 이용자와 서버 사이의 통신 전달
