About Mun
Mun plans trips in Korea for visitors from abroad. Before a place goes into your plan, Mun checks it against official Korean records, so you are not sent to a palace on its closing day or a restaurant that has shut down.
Who makes it
Mun is built by Haru, an independent developer in Korea. The code is written with Claude, an AI model by Anthropic; the product decisions, the checks and the testing are Haru's.
Where the checks come from
- Korea Tourism Organization open data: attractions, opening hours and closing days
- Local government business licence records: restaurants and cafés, including those that have closed
- Place search on Korea's major map services
- Korea Meteorological Administration forecasts and AirKorea fine-dust forecasts
No source is perfect. A shop can close before it is recorded, so if you find a place closed, please report it in the planner. How the checks were tested, and what they miss
